EXPLODE!

It was nothing I expected but I created a masterpiece. All thanks to the most unworthy-of-appreciation: headache.

Last November 23, a Monday, I had one terrible headache which I endured for the whole day. I even suffered it on school. As time goes by, it continues to worsen. I was on my home when all the factors for the excruciating pain reached its peak. Arrrg! Pollution, heat, hunger, lack of sleep, problems, deep thoughts, being the one to pass the fare to the jeepney driver (trust me, I was like the driver's assistant). Tigtug! Tigtug! Tigtug!

Now I would like to let you experience the pain.

IMAGINE:
Every step or sudden action triggers my brain to pulsate!
Every quiver of my brain makes it hit the temporal part which feels like a swelling tooth...in the head (wtf?).
When there's too much sunlight, I have to close my eyes as it would trigger the previous case. Guess what side I'm seated on the jeepney. Clue: I got darker.
Ride an MRT with those barbaric people who always finds a way to barge in...and yeah rattle my effing head!

I tried to cool my head off and stayed in Powerbooks and read some-some. First page, stop...rest, close my eyes. Tigtug! Tigtug! Two to three more paragraphs and I was out. I tried to rationalize and think of the right solution. I had only a few hours of sleep so I think I need coffee. So I bought myself an iced coffee and some donuts. BUT TO NO AVAIL.

Then, as what we've agreed on the morning, I have to fetch mom up in her office. From Glorietta, I have to walk on the...uhmm...walkway. Now, normally, it would only take 10 minutes as I walk fast. But this day was filled with abnormalities. So I walked like a floating ghost. Slowly..its as if I have shit on my undies. 20 minutes, it took me.

I arrived in the office and just sat down. Tried to sleep but can't. Tigtug! Tigtug! I grabbed a pen and paper and was planning to doodle (as what I usually do there). I dunno...I was thinking way too much of my headache that I drew a head. Tigtug! Tigtug! In writing, there's this thing we called free writing. Well on this case, I think its free drawing. I just doodled on the first thing that came into my mind and expressed my thoughts as of the moment.

Here's the result!

Ooooze...napakalalim pakinggan nuh? Blood transfusion...nosebleed! So since required siya, ang buong klase ay umattend. So ayun, puro orientation taz blah blah blah. To make the story short, it was enough to convince me to volunteer. Nung napakinggan ko yung testimonial of people who had undergone such operation, no 2nd thoughts...MASUBUKAN NGA!

So dumating na ang said date, it was challenging! Out of tens of my classmates na ng'try 3 lang ang pumasa and nakapagdonate ng dugo! Ano to audition?! So fingers crossed, pumunta ako sa venue at laking gulat ko na madami pala ang interested to volunteer. One word...audition! Parang audition talaga! At may 5 levels to surpass!

LEVEL 1: Bigaten Ka Ba?!
May required weight. Yup! 48 kgs or 110 lbs sumting. May blockmate ako na mukang kulang ang nakain na kanin noong breakfast kaya ayun, 47 kgs lng...hindi pwede. Ang harsh nuh?! Pero merong health connections tuh...cguro nman. So its my turn, I stuffed myself ng mga kung anu-anong pampabigat. Panyo, bolpen, wallet...yun pala may inspection! Dapat hubad...ang sapatos! Haha! Taz no other things ang naka'intact sayo. Fortunately, sakto! 48 kgs ako! Haha! Im off to level 2! Tenen!

LEVEL 2: The JURY!
May interview pang alam! So kelangan mg'fill up ng form. Then you have to submit it to the JURY! Talagang i'scrutinize nila yung sinulat muh! Magta2nung'tanung ng kung anu-ano. Kilabot pero bearable naman! Mejo skeptic tone nila. Parang ayaw nila maniwala na wala akong sakit. Mukha ba akong adik?! Anyway, I passed and Im another step closer to my goal! Tenen!

LEVEL 3: The SORTING SPLAT!
Kung fan ka ni Harry Potter, may idea ka sa 'sorting hat'. Same case here. Pero hindi ko sinasabing may ipa2suot na hat ang redcross at sisigaw ng "Gryfindor!" (biased! Gryfindor talaga ang example! Haha!). Haha! Yun ung blood type by the way.

LEVEL 4: The COLD One!
So kung naglalaro ka naman ng computer games, ito ung parang mini-boss! Sumunod ako sa isang table ng isang certified medical pratitioner! Hahaha! Mejo chubby na doc. So in'inspect nya ako. Sinigurado nya na wala akong AH1N1 or AIDS or herpes. Basta...an'lamig ng kamay nya! Siguro kabado lang ako kasi malapit ko nang harapin ang boss. Dito sa level na to namatay este natanggal ang blockmate ko. Hindi siya pumasok sa required blood pressure. Well ako pumasa naman! Bilang ultimate attack ng mini-boss na to, idinikit nya sa akin ang CIRCLE of ICE and DOOM! Toinkz! Joke lang...stethoscope lang yun! Wala lang, sobrang lamig lang kasi nun eh. Biglang ng'jolt ung katawan ko. Brrrrr! Eto na...kakalabanin ko na si BOSS!!! Tandantandan!

LEVEL 5: Ultimate Superduper Ferrocious Sucker of Doom!
This is it! Ito ang Kuppa ni Mario, Sabertooth ni Wolverine, Mojo Jojo ng Powerpuff Girls at Braguda ni Darna. In other words, ito ang final enemy to get through! Pinapunta ako sa isang kama. Pinahiga. Pinakalma. Huh?! Who knows?! Ayan na! Nilabas na...ito na ang final blow ng kalaban. Maka-survive kaya ako?! Tsuk! Awts!

Nakakaurat! Masarap sana kung may mp3 ka at ang now playing ay "Pump it louder! Pump it louder! Pump it louder" ng Black Eyed Peas! So I was bored to death for 20 minutes! At last tapos na! Pinalapit ako sa isang girl who would finally give the trophy! Isang baller which clearly states...

"I AM A BLOOD DONOR. I SAVE LIVES"

Nakanantuts! Tears of joy! So kinda feeling groggy nang may bonus round pa pala! In'approach ako ng ng isang PUPian volunteer at pinapasok sa heaven. Hindi pa ako patay pero sa mga panahong iyon, ang sarap ng feeling! Libreng snacks...unlimited! Hahaha. So I did what I do best...eat!

Generalization, blood donating doesn't give you that spiritual feeling. Well in my case, wala namang Jesus na nagpakita sakin. Taking it as it is, manghihina ka after ng procedure. Masasakta ka sa pricking at injecting. Now who would want that?! Pero you know what, everytime na may nakikita akong ospital or clinic or napapabalitaang kaso ng taong nangangailangan ng dugo merong satisfaction. Its like having your very own bragging rights. You can say to yourself, "Who know's, my blood is already the extension of another person's life." Hindi ko naman pino'point out na dapat mung ipamuka sa tao ng you did this and that. Pero you can have the satisfying feeling na you did something not all is willing to do.
You can feel inside you that you've become a more important person. And maybe that's the essence of this. Blood donating makes people realize that they are important because other people need them.

So a week later, I received a good news. Bawat donor pala ay may raffle stab. At there are lots of prizes for grabs. I may not have won the ultimate prize, pero the thing is, I won a prize. I received a 2 GB USB Flash Drive! Cool cool!

with special features:
  • easy to share and store files
  • proffesional and reliable design
  • convenient to carry
  • password protection software
  • no installation required
  • 5 year limited warranty

See?! Ang laking happiness yan di ba?! Ang kapalit ng aking dugo ay naggagandahan at ubod ng garang USB!

ONDOY's IMPACT!

Well, it's never too late to share something that really brought a BOOM! not only to me but to the whole country!

The following series of events took place during the attack...yes the attack of Typhoon Ondoy last September 25. Well first I will limit the parameters to our house...

So its a rainy morning. Typical. I thought. It was around 7 am. Shivers! So I went net surfing. 9 am. Still raining. Carry on. But after an hour, it's still the same sound. The sound of endless rainfall. What's weird is that it's continuous. I mean, the sound is still the same from an hour ago. Normally, rain fall will soon be minimized...

I decided to look outside. See if there's something wrong. Then BOOM! Water. Water world! Now I know we live in a floody barangay but our street has never been flooded before not like the other streets near the creek. And on that day, our street was submerged in 2 feet of water. What's more disturbing is, if our street which has never been flooded is now under 2 feet of water, what more do the 'below sea level' streets are experiencing?! Doing the math, I guessed it was probably 5 feet or something!

At TUMATAAS pa lalo! I called mom, who was completely clueless, and she was stunned. The flood was inches away to our door step. In a matter of minutes, water will invade our house! Help?

Damn! Bowshit! Taena! Name it! I was utterng the foulest words you could hear. I was in panic. The whole family was in panic. On the case of my brother who was still sleeping, he was also clueless. So I woke him up, and as I remembered it very clearly, this is my morning greeting to him, and I quote...

"JO! JO! Gising! Papasok na ang baha sa bahay! Malulunod tayo!"

And he just stared at me...kinda irritated and I understood what he meant...

"WEH! Pakyu! Natutulog eh!"

I was able to convince him to stand and look outside, and voila! Jaw-dropped. I'd like to say I told you so but he was still in the state of shock. Been there done that. Now move! We begun lifting some of our things. We were still hoping that the flood will subside. I was busy facebooking of how terrible this weather was and came to my senses. What the 'ef' am I doing?! I looked outside again to confirm the situation. Yup! Clear as the glass. We're dead! I knelt at our door step, lower down my head and observed the rising water! My brother joined me and we chanted "We're gonna die! We're gonna die" like this was something to fool about! At that time, I guess it haven't really sank into our minds.

And then swoosh! Water started flowing on our floor. Adrenalin rush? It's true! We were able to lift the sofa and all the other heavy stuffs. Mom screamed her ass out because of a centipede she just saw. I was irritated with her whining because hello? Our house is about to be submerged underwater! So we saved our appliances from waterworld extinction.

Because we were scared of electrocution, we shut the main switch down. Minutes later, the water reached our ankle. And we are not sure if this will get any worse. We observed the scenarion outside. Dramatic? Kinda. Comedic? Yeah. There were children playing...or rather swimming. They've made their own set of salbabidas and floating device. Balde, bola, plasti na puno ng plastic mineral bottles at eto pa...amplifier box! Yup! At alam mo ba kung ano nakasakay dun? ASO! Gawin ba namang bangka?!

Concentrating on the dramatic side, I saw this think 6-year old boy, swimming alone. I was very sure he was struggling, but the minute he saw my camera he smiled. A flash of smile that says I-know-it-seems-like-I'm-drowning-but-I'm-not. I was worried. Fortunately, his older brother came and smacked him with a stick, "Umuwi ka nang p***** i**** bata ka! Pag kaw malunod, g*** ka!". Brotherly love. I could relate. Hahaha!

Hours have passed and it's still raining. But the water stopped elevating. Good! And then I saw it! The horror! The horror! My most disgusted creature in the world. Cockroaches. Not just a bunch of anthropods but a whole uhmm..barangay I think. They've illegaly moved into our porch and it looked like an apartment of coackroach! Just see for yourself. I was planning to drive them away and then I realized...nahhh...but...but...can't believe I am saying these but these insects are evacuees! Yes they are, they drown in the flood and they need a higher place to stay. It was late when I realized, they are not alone.

Night came and since we haven't stocked up with some groceries, mom asked me to buy some dinner. I was able to see the outside world. Devasted! All kinds of trashes were everywhere! What do you expect in a whole day of raining?

We ate dinner and mom surfed the net for some news since out TV was broken. We are completely clueless. We saw videos and pics in facebook. It was disturbing. The impact on the other parts of the metro was beyong my understanding. I was cars being washed away like they were toys.

The next day, I jumped for joy for the suspension of classes for almost a week. I never realized how much the whole country is mourning. It was late when I finally realized that there is a reason...a big reason for such an act. We were updating ourselves through the internet and everyday it was becoming worse. More casualties and increasing death tolls. Numerous stories of missing person and survivor's experiences. I was no longer happy. I was sucked into deep feeling. This is definitely a warning from God.

A rain-filled typhoon code named 'Ondoy' left Metro Manila Philippines with 243 people dead and thousands homeless as a large part of metro Manila remain submerged in floodwater more than three days after the typhoon left the country.

And up to this day, our country is still facing the problem Ondoy has left us. And it was worsen by Pepeng. During my stay over the weekend on my aunt's place in Marikina, my cousin's wife was a survivor in recent typhoon. Knowing Marikina, it was one of the most devastated areas and has a lot number of deaths. She shared her experiences and you will truly feel how lucky you are to be facing just a little flood. My relatives in Marikina shared stories of how a mother watched in horror as her son was being swallowed by the flood, how a family stayed on their roof and hugged each other as they thought they were about to die and more untold stories in Provident Village. My aunt claimed that the government doesn't fully show the right number of death tolls as it would give a bad image on how the run things around.

Please join me and say a little prayer for the souls, for the devastated evacuees, for the family who was left with nothing...for all of us. May God save us and show mercy on His people.

Yellow Day Daw?! (College Story # 28)

So two words lang ang pwede kong i'describe sa pangyayaring ito...

MUNG'TANGA lang...

This occurred sometime in September. I think it was on September 28; the day BSE 1-1 was fooled!

So in celebration for our much-anticipated PUP Foundation Day, every college was asked to wear a certain color of shirt. Our college, CEFP, was assigned to wear YELLOW!

So days before, we were advised to wear a yellow shirt on Monday. So here we are, updating ourselves through texts. The whole BSE 1-1 was trying to pick the most yellowest shirt they could find. Well in my case, I have no choice but to wear my only yellow shirt...and it has long sleeves! Bummer!

September 28 morning! Did the morning rituals...went to school. As I enter our main gate, there I saw someone wearing white, CA maybe? There, blue...CE? Well I continued walking and I haven't seen any CEFPians. No one was wearing yellow. As a matter of fact, no groups of students were wearing the same color of shirt. BAD FEELING. Did I get the date right?! Rushed into my room...BOOM! Salvation! My classmates were wearing yellow shirts.

I saw one of my classmates not wearing yellow. I laughed. He is SO left behind! Then he said...

"Bat ka naka-yellow?!" Laughing...

"Uhhh...yellow day kaya!"

Then I started hearing my classmates. It was a talk-about. Us, wearing yellow. Shoot! From that moment...I know we were fooled. The whole class that is! When I saw some of us who were not wearing yellow, LUCKY that's what I thought. But then I found out that they also wore yellow shirts but was playing safe so they brought extra shirts.

The truth was...
95% of the class went to school wearing yellow.
95% of the class was tricked!
95% of the class, including me, just laughed our asses off!

Our VP, who was the one who informed us, explained that there has been a miscommunication with the CEFP council. Well..yadayadayada! It's too late for explanation! We were ridiculed! But the whole class made it a laughing matter!

We were the only section in the whole PUP who was wearing uniform color clothes. LAUGHS!

Then we just laughed it off. Pag may nagtanong,

"BAT KAYO NAKA-YELLOW?"

Eto lang ang tamang reply namin...

"Oh?! Oo nga noh?! Hindi namin pansin! Gosh!"

OR

"Coincidence lang po yan!"

OR

"Ano ba paki'elam moh?! Trip tripan lang yan!"

So JAM's Exclamation Point of View...
on BSE 1-1 wearing YELLOW...

Girls Are Like Bees Because...

I am here to proudly share the group task we made on our English class. It was graded 1.25! Wooohooo! So don't get offended...we are not generalizing the female population here. We just cited the common and evident similarities to most women...

GIRLS ARE LIKE BEES BECAUSE...

1.) they are noisy creatures who always buzz about gossips and rumors.
- GIRLS gave violent reactions!

2.) they cause painful heartbreaks like the way bees sting people.
- this one got an "AWWWW" from the girls

3.) they are not contented with one flower; they always look for another.
- more protest from girls!

4.) they attack in swarms; they always look for "girl power" back-ups to fight or interrogate just one guy.
- laughs!

5.) even though they're focusing on one flower, they still have 'hots' for other guys around.

6.) they are very defensive and over-protective; they wont hesitate stinging people who gets in their way.

7.) they still interfere, argue and cross the lines of another bee's flower; they don't respect boundaries.
- eyebrows were raised!

8.) they are overly sensitive in their surrounding; a little dirt or smoke irritates them.

9.) they are moody creatures; if you piss them off, get ready to run!

10.) they have high standards and prioritize BIGGER, LONGER and JUICIER flowers!
-this one got the most applause from my classmates...the class went uproar!

BLOG BIT: CEFP - Perpetual Champs!

So there's only one reason I am blogging this...I want to brag about it! Nyahaha!

So PUP has been holding academic contests for the past weeks. There's Extempo, Essay, subject quizzes, debate etc etc etc contest. And you know what? I didn't participate in any of these but I feel so proud! Hearing our college (College of Economics, Finance and Politics) being called on almost all events as top 3, I get this exciting feeling! Yeah I know its weird but we're still part of it...kinda, sort of...right? We were the champs for the last 2 years and as this year's new rule: the OH-GREAT PERPETUAL TROPHY will permanently be kept by the college who has defended it for 3 consecutive years!

And since this is our college's 3rd time, hearing the words - Perpetual Trophy, they, permanently, will, CEFP, the, keep, congratulations, to, the - all in one sentence is such a ROARable feeling. And we did...we ROAORED! Haha! My classmates and I, even if none of us did participate, we rushed to the stage after the event and ka'ching ka'ching...BSE 1-1 with the Perpetual Trophy!

But hey, we didn't stop there, as the trophy was to be delivered to the CEFP office, we had this last-minute snap shot. Haha.

Well personally, it is a big deal for me for us to win because I've seen our college's effort. The debate team ...I've seen them shed blood for this, I was with them and them winning is such an amazing feeling!

So to all CEFPians, congratulations, lets all wear YELLOW fot the PUP Founding anniversary!

So JAM's Exclamation Point of View...
on CEFP's Perpetual Trophy...

It's our turn to defend it next year!

Newly Found Passion: Debate (College Story #12)

Since high school, I have engaged myself to different activities that hone my passion. I joined on our school publication. I became president of our student council. And from time to time, I always participate on contests of mouth like extempo and impromptu speaking, declamation and etc. These are my passions in life.

Now that I am in college, I discovered a new passion in me. I have always been enticed on this psychological warfare. It looks very interesting as I have witnessed this act before. Its debating.

There was a time wherein I was the school's representative for the Impromptu Speaking Contest in UP Los Banos. There was also a debate contest there. When I witnessed the championship round, it was literally jaw-dropping! I have seen students wet their mic with spit. I witnessed a student who is about to lose all the air in her lungs. Audience went crazy. The adjujicator was smiling. I was amazed! I have witnessed the art of debating for the first time!

So back to college life, my course, BS Economics, is under the College of Economics, Finance and Politics (CEFP). Little did I know is that CEFP is typecasted as the "College of Champions" as we are the over-all champion for so many years on university intramurals and acad contests. And one thing the college is known for is our debate team!

HOW I GOT IN?

I recenlty joined CEFP's School of Debate (SOD). And it opened a whole new world to me! Our grandmaster was the awesome-est of all. Rachael Seso is the name. When someone will ask, "What made her argument right?" You just have to answer back, "Rachael SAYS-SO!"

When I was screened for the first time, she gave the debate-hopefuls a test. She asked me, "What's your stand on abortion? Anti or pro?"

I proudly said "ANTI!". I can back it up because I have equipped myself with information about this when I was researching about the RH Bill. Bwahaha! I am prepared beybe! Confident that I will ace it she said, "Now you have to give a speech for 3 mins. I will give you 1 minute thinking time. But the twist is, you hav to give a speeach on why are you PRO-ABORTION."

Uhhh...Twist?! Come again? Ba't ganun?! Woah!

"One minute starts now!"

Tik tak tik tak. Pro abortion ako? Hindi talaga! But I have to be one. Taeh ba't may twist?! Ok James, why do we need abortion? Tik tak tik tak. Wait lang. What's so good about it? Taympers!!! Ok I have wasted 15 seconds already...think...think!

That was the scenario on my mind during the 1 minute thinking time. But thanks to the RH Bill, I was able to say and point out why I am PRO-ABORTION. I did panicked but it turned out good.

"TIME'S UP!"

To make the story short, I passed and was accepted.

WHAT NOW?!

Stress?! Sino ka para magsabi kung ano ang stress? Do you know how to spell STRESS?! Rigid training! As in intense training was the things I do in SOD! I usually attend debate training during Wednesday and Saturnday afternoon. Sometimes, I attend the daily training which lasted up to 8pm. And ofcourse! MATTER LOADING! What is it? Well you just have to be a know-it-all in issues. I have to read newspapers, watch T.V news and research on topics. I have done some-some but I'll work on it! But wait, there's more, I have experience an over night training on one of the debater's house.

Yes, you are stressed out. It consumes your time. But you know what, I never felt any regrets. It was worth it! I met new friends and I am currently undergoing a learning process and I love it. And who am I to define stress? Just thinking about the dedication and effort they, the people behind SOD, give to us makes me think how lucky I am to undergo such training.

WHO ARE THE SOD?

Beki! Beki! Beki! A gay-lingo term used by our grandmaster, Rachael Seso. FYI, babae po siya pero bakla nga lang! Nyahahaha! She is such a character! So child-like yet you will totally respect her once she's on a debate!

We also have our BRATINELLA. Katrina Tarape, vice-president, small but terrible. She's this petite, cute, and I-thought-harmless figure who once rebutts your statements, you have to prepare the biggest white flag ever!

There's Emy Ruth. Our resident cartoonist. She has this notebook, which we thought as a debate-learning notebook. But when we opened it, we were surprised to see ourselves ridiculed with her drawing. Oh I was in it. A man with afro hair and was shaded with a series of lines to emphasize my dark skin. LOL!

There's the issued couple Ate Jhessa and Kuya Xavier. They are the talk-about during training. Jhessa is this gorgeous girl who, I quote as one debater said, "Kaya ginawang sobrang ganda ay para mabalance yung mga panlalaking galaw niya." Her posture is very manly but she really is pretty.

Ginette, Kuya Gerald and Fidel, Ate Careen etc etc...all of them are truly good persons! No dull moments with them.

Generally, The SOD debaters are better than Pia Guanio and Toni Gonzaga in making issues. They know how to translate a simple statement into a love quote. Puro banat, barahan at punchlines!

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

SOD turned me into a debater. Not yet a good one but I will soon be. I learned the basics and DOs and DONTs of formal debate. The people in SOD inspired me to be a true debater. I have been a representative on a JPES debate in UST. I lost in the contest but I am a winner in experience. It made me more confident as another skill I will soon master is being injected in my brain. Thanks to SOD, I now have a say to different social issues! It broaden my mind.

WHAT IS DEBATE?

We always do this everyday on our minds. That's why its called a psychological warfare. Everything we have today is a result of a debate. It maybe formal, mock or a debate from within. All things are settled because of arguments. Which tells us what? DEBATE is essential. When you finally know how to do a formal debate, you can now go ahead and comment on news, issues and motions. That's the time when you finally have a damn good reason on why you should be heard. True debaters don't talk non-sense. Whether they are right or wrong, they can still support their stand with justifiable, sensible and significant reasons.
No time and effort is wasted when you love what you're doing. That's passion!

So JAM's Exclmation Point of View...

BYE BYE - Words Before I DIE!

Mariah Carey
Bye Bye (Akon & Lil Wayne Remix)

(Mariah Carey and Akon):
This is for my people's
Who just lost somebody
Your best friend, your baby
Your man, or your lady
Put your hands way up high
(Put 'em way up high)
We will never say bye
Never, no, no
(Never say goodbye)
Momma's, daddies, sistas
Friends and cousins
(Yeah)
This is for my people's
Who lost they grandmothers
(Yeeeeaaahh)
Lift ya hands to the sky
(Lift 'em way up high),
'Cause we will never say bye
(Never say goodbye)

(Akon):
I know, I know you're gone
I know i'll see you again
One thing that I can promise
That we gon' meet up again
Hopefully up in heaven
Prayin' that i'm forgiven
For everything that i've done
And everything
I forgot to mention
If feel so bad
To be without my homie
And every since
You've been absent
I've been so lonely
Why does our life cycle
Round like a trophy
Even though know somebody
Took the time to warn me
That you just keep me
'Til the end it's just crazy
And everyday i'm wishin' you
Could come save me
And I know a man
Ain't supposed to cry
It's taken all the strength
In my soul to say goodbye

(Mariah Carey/Chorus):
Bye, bye (22x)

(Mariah Carey):
And you never got the chance
To see how good i've done
And you never got to see me
Back at number one
I wish that you were here
To celebrate together
I wish that we could spend
The holidays together
I remember when you used
To tuck me in at night
With the teddy bear
You gave to me
That I held so tight
I thought you
Were so strong
That you can make it
Through whatever
It's so hard
To accept the fact
You're gone forever
I never knew
I could hurt like this
And everyday
Life goes on like
I wish I could talk to you
For awhile
I wish I could find a way
Try not to cry
As time goes by
And soon as you reach
A better place
Still
I'll give the whole world
To see your face
And I'm right here
Next to you
It feels
Like you gone too soon
The hardest thing to do
Is say bye, bye

(Mariah Carey/Chorus):
Bye, bye (22x)

(Lil' Wayne):
How come
They call it goodbye?
How come the good die?
See I just get high
And think of the good times
That I had with my pops
He was a good guy
How come the good die?
As i protect my mother
'Cause i'm her oldest son
And there
Are different worlds
And we in the coldest one
Which one did granny go to?
And why do death come?
As my baby ask
Where do babies come from
I tell her where
I tell her why
And I tell her I love her
Until I tell her bye
And whenever
I shall ever die
I hope you celebrate it
I hope you never hated
And they say heaven's gated
But I think I know the code
And let's get your life right
By the end of the road
That's why I drive alone
Down memory lane
So if I crash
I hope ya'll
Remember Wayne

(Mariah Carey/Chorus):
I never knew
I could hurt like this
And everyday
Life goes on like
I wish I could talk to you
For awhile
I wish I could find a way
Try not to cry
As time goes by
And soon as you reach
A better place
Still
I'll give the whole world
To see your face
And I'm right here
Next to you
It feels
Like you gone too soon
The hardest thing to do
Is say bye, bye

Bye, bye (22x)

It's hard to say
Bye, bye, bye, bye
So come on
Somebody say it with me
Wave ya hands up high
'Cause this is for my people's
Who just lost somebody
See this is for everybody
Just lift ya hands to the sky
'Cause we will never say bye, bye

I loved Mariah's songs. Bye Bye was one of my favorite and one that I always listen to maybe around last year until now. But one time, when I was on my way home riding a jeep, just recently, I heard this song again. But my ears tingled upon hearing Akon's signature second voice! Haha! "Ei Ei". Sort of like that!

I was all ears! I have heard many remixes where hip hop artists add raps and other parts to the song. Some made it bad...but mostly made it better! And this remix was definitely better! I was LSSed!

And I have searched in Youtube and found its lyrics! While listening, I was reading the words. I honestly felt the message of the song down to the core of my heart! Completely...indescribable! Back on the jeepney, I loved Akon's part but not Lil Wayne's monotonous singing. But when I was able to read and understand Wayne's part...damn! I wanted to broadcast it! I wrote them as a shoutout in Friendster, Facebook, Tweeter and even on text messages coz it was related to my personal motto about my life: LIVE LIFE WITH A BOOM! I was so touched by the song! And now, I am blogging it!

Here is that part...

And whenever
I shall ever die
I hope you celebrate it
I hope you never hated
And they say heaven's gated
But I think I know the code
And let's get your life right
By the end of the road
That's why I drive alone
'TIL EVERYTHING'S DONE
So if I crash
I hope ya'll
Remember JAM!

Well I edited it! Haha! I wanted to make it somehow personalized! Make it rhyme. Do you get me? Can you see the message of this song? Glorious isn't it?! Well I see a LIGHT whenever I hear this song! I feel the warmth the artists wanted me to feel. No, I am not exagerating! This is true!

So this part, if I have to explain, tells about one certain thing, the very thing...the very gift I most willingly accepted and enjoyed coming from God...is LIFE! I have said it to to previous blog entries that I make it to point that I live my life to the fullest! I love my life! But life will...and always has its limit! You are never young all the time. There will come a time where, I have to quote, you have to say BYE BYE! Goodbye to all: the family, friends, and to your life itself! I have a mission to accomplish in life when death wants to hug me and take me...I should hug back without hesitations because I have no regrets!

That's what the essence of life is all about right? It's an achievement to die prepared! So how to be prepared? Live your life with a boom like I do! To the extreme! Exclamation point beybe! Everything you do...put an exclamation point to it not a dull and boring 'period'. When I die, I want people to be satisfied. Not mourn. I want them to be happy that I die prepared. And that I die as their friend...not an enemy with grudges and hatred. Being able to die loving the people surrounding you and you being loved by them is such a big relief isn't it?!

Heaven's waiting for me...I dont know when exactly. I just know He does. So let this blog entry be my confirmation to everyone that I am on a journey to my death! Dont take it wrongly...I dont want to die! No one does! But its an inevitable truth! We all have to die! Join my adventure! Make your own! Let's have a joyride! If all of us would do the same, IMAGINE!

Wow! I love this song! I have said it many many times coz I really do! I love my LIFE!
